Family Day

A welcomed statutory holiday between New Year's Day and Good Friday, celebrated on the third Monday of February in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Alberta and New Brunswick. Enjoying a day intentionally spent with family, thinking of distant family, or commemorating family members who are no longer with us is so special.

This long weekend is not a national holiday, but is observed in other provinces with a different reason for celebration. Nova Scotia observes Heritage Day, Prince Edward Island observers Islander Day, and Manitoba observes Louis Riel Day.
