St. Patrick's Day

The official day of honoring Saint Patrick and celebrating Irish culture.  Whether you're Irish or Christian or not, St. Patrick's Day is undeniably one of the most popular celebrations across the globe.

There is much more to his story, but, in short, Saint Patrick was known for bringing Christianity to Ireland and is the primary patron saint for the country.  While records aren't exactly clear, March 17th is estimated to be his date of death, so we commemorate his life on this day in many ways - worshiping, wearing Irish colours, feasting, and of course, drinking. The original celebration was dedicated as the Feast of Saint Patrick in the 1600s but has since evolved into a overall cultural theme.

There is much history of the country, their official colours, the significance of shamrocks and tales of mischievous leprechauns.  It really gives us endless opportunity for inspiration which is the beauty of this holiday.  We love that for such a small region, their people and way of life have made such a huge impact all over the world, of which mostly everyone can find a reason to celebrate.
